Everybody’s doing it… If the Pope jumped off a bridge, how many Catholics would follow? I’m guessing way too many.
Quick entry as the first game starts soon.
Astros over the Braves - Houston’s top three pitchers are stellar and I see potential for some bats to break out. Atlanta’s got Smoltz and Hudson, but I can really see their bats going dead - do they have any more rookies they can call up to have Shane Spencer-like beginnings?
Cardinals havea a bye…
Angels over Yankees - this one’s a toss-up, but I’m actually getting a little sick of the Red Sox playing the Yankees. Baseball needs to develop some drama on its own without those teams.
Red Sox over White Sox - I think the Red Sox pitch well enough to hold the White Sox to about four runs a game. And while Garland, Contreras, and Buehrle had good years, Buehrle’s the only one I trust to really pitch well from here on out.
Astros over Cardinals - Because.
Red Sox over Angels - the Angel pitching will get smoked.
Red Sox over Houston - it might not be Schilling and Ortiz this year, but the Red Sox will really step it up and show that this whole winning the Wild Card with the same record as the Yankees bullshit is just that. Say hello to Clemens pitching against the Red Sox in the World Series drama.
Out.

Holding the Pale Hose to 3-4 runs per game, huh? How’d that prediction work out for ya? I’m excited to see White Sox-Angels and St. Louis-Houston for a repeat of the best playoff series nobody saw. White Sox-Houston in the WS, and I’ll say Houston wins, but that’s a toss-up for me.
