I say this as someone who has been on the Bonderman (and the Tigers) bandwagon for several years now…
Bonderman will never win the Cy Young.
He simply doesn’t have the “stuff” to be a Cy Young-type.
Especially in a league that has many, many guys with nasty, nasty pitching.
No doubt he’s a front of the rotation guy. And I’m sure he’ll be solid for many years. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s only the second best pitcher for his team in a year (Verlander)
