Anyway, if you check out ARod’s season line over at Fangraphs, you’ll notice a couple peculiar things.
One, his WPA total now leads all hitters at .70 wins. True Yankee?
Two, ARod’s pLI — the average leverage of his plate appearances — is 2.14. That means he’s come to the plate in situations over twice as important as the average batter. In New York. Hello, scrutiny.
Three, ARod’s clutch score is actually still negative. Poser.
