Good call on the fire sale story, WD. Cabrera's a real catch, but Willis has been overrated for a few years now. Definitely an interesting story and I'll probably attack it in-depth once back from Kentucky.

I'm also adding the Gold Glove awards to the big events of the week. Nothing like letting managers vote on something to create a hullaboo.

Sky, you failed to mention the new Marlins Fire Sale. Dontrell and Cabrera on the blocks. I think this is more significant than possible Santana trades (but that's just me).

One ongoing item of interest for me as a fan is watching teams try to maximize the trade value of guys they figure they can't re-sign. While I understand what the Twins are doing (and why), I think what the Marlins are doing is despicable. They get far more in luxury tax and revenue sharing than they spend on their payroll. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) That is perverse. No wonder no one goes to their games. It's really not the stadium, it's the scumbag do-nothing owner. Sorry, that got off topic.

I'm exactly the same way :) We should be each other's editors... except that I don't have a blog... and I can't write... :-D

Finding your site has made the daily baseball blog read-through WAY more interesting than before!

Thanks, James -- spread the word!

When I read, I notice every typo and mis-spelling, but when I write, I commit every stupid mistake -- even mixing up there/their/they're, which annoys the crap out of me. Probably more than you wanted to know.
