I think DeLa Cruz will make it back to the majors, but he's not going to be huge, I don't think. He could surprise me, you never know.

The Marlins definitely added five guys who can make the majors, which is what they were looking for. But the quality level beyond the top 3 isn't the same.

Thanks, Kurt. So three of the guys aren't really worth mentioning, but Trahern could definitely be a league-average guy? Assuming the Marlins will eventually spend the money they're saving, it's a good deal for them in terms of on-field production. If they just pocket the money, then, well, the system needs fixing, but they got a good deal.

Let me give a few thumbnail sketches, Sky. I'm not the most qualified Tigers blogger, but I should help some.

C Mike Rabelo -- not a prospect. Was never really a catching prospect, just had a whirlwind raise to becoming Pudge's backup because of good circumstances and injuries. He did a fine job. As a fan I liked him. Nothing special.

SP Dallas Trahern -- the biggest nab beyond Miller/Maybin. A 21 year old sinkerballer, he should make the majors and is thought of being a #3-4 type ceiling. But definitely another exciting prospect. Hate to see him go.

SP Eulogio dela Cruz -- DLC is a hard thrower, 100 mph type. However, he just can't do it as a reliever and that is where you'd think he would be best. He pitched a few games for the Tigers as reliever but didn't pitch to the potential. I don't think his secondary pitches are strong enough to make him as dangerous as a guy like Zumaya turned out to be.

SP Burke Badenhop -- Kind of an aging prospect. More a throw-in type. Yeah, he was one of the higher ranked one in the Tigers organization, but I don't view it as a loss.
